Swaps are fun and I have been doing weekly ones for about a year now with a group of awesome ladies in Side By Side Papercrafting on Facebook. Its a fun group and every week we have a challenge.   The Volkswagen Bug Card is the swap card that my friend made for me, and its so cute…. I love me some Volkswagen Bug’s…. one because I had one and it was my favorite car!  It was a Lime Green Car and it was a fun car to drive. Plus just looking at this car makes you smile doesn’t it lol.volkswagencar

Spot light Card Tutorial:

  1. Stamp the Image in Black Stazon Ink
  2. Use the color of card stock as the Background color, that you want to highlight on the image.
  3. Use the black as the backdrop of the card as that base.
  4. Pick your element of the image that you want to highlight such as on my card, I highlighted the Lights and glossed them Glossy Accents.

Perk Up Coffee Card

coffeeperkyouupcard

Today I am featuring a Coffee Card for you because well I love this card and I think its a fun way to send a sweet something for your lovies!

This card was used using a Stampin Up Retired Stamp set called Perfect Blend and I Love this stamp set, something about it just makes me happy happy happy. Plus its versatile. The To Perk You UP is not part of that stamp set that is just a little one I found at a store and thought it would go good when giving Coffee Cards out! ( I love to give my kids teachers Coffee Cards once in a while to make their days) Below is an image of the stamp set. Image result for perfect blend stamp set On this card I used some Patterned Paper that was in my stash, I’m pretty sure it is G45 and used that as my highlighted piece, but wanted to make it part of the coozie part of the coffee mug to make it blend together. Using a heart punch I put a heart on the coozie to give it a distinguish the coffee cup from the background of the card and make it pop. I am huge on the layering factor on cards, so I added some ink to the edges to the patterned paper, and put a white card stock and edge with the ink again to balance it out.

Hope that this helps give you some inspiration, and make a fun card for your Lovies!

St. Patricks Foil Card

St. Patricks Day a fun holiday to decorate for and Celebrate. I am a big part Irish so I love to send little cards to my loved ones for St. Patricks Day….. And why not jazz it up alittle bit. I went to Village Paper and Ink this last weekend which is Gina K.’s store and picked up some Foil Mate’s and wanted to play with them and the laminator.

I think that this foil craze is beautiful and it adds such a nice little something to the cards.

The process was to make a normal A2 sized card and use up some of my stash card stock.  Using a green that I had and black I made the base of the card and the frame background.  Then utilizing the Foil Mates and the Gold Sequins foil I put that throught the laminator and made the background paper. ( I love how it pops) Utilizing the green ribbon I had in my stash I wanted to add a break up point and some color in there, and then used 2 inch and 2.5 inch circle punches to make the circle pop. (that is what I’m calling it lol)  The last step was pulling out the circuit and looking up a fun shamrock that I think just adds to the elegance of the card along with the glitter paper. Finishing off this beautiful Shamrock St. Patricks Day card.

I can’t wait to send this to my loved ones…… Its so beautiful!

Beautiful Lips Dollar Tree Tumbler

Happy Valentines Day to everyone and please have a great day and enjoy your loved ones!!

Ok I’m the stickler that loves to give the kids teachers gifts for every holiday and I love that they can give them sweet little gifts to let them know how much we appreciate and support them.  So this year I wanted to make a cute little gift for them that they can use all year around.   I was inspired by a mug that I saw at Tuesday Morning that had the eye lashes and the lips. I had the tumbler from another project that was from Dollar Tree.

Using the Cricut Red Foil Vinyl, and Cricut Black Glitter Vinyl. Thankfully the Tumbler had the Glitter on it to give it that extra pizzazz .

If you have Cricut Design Space feel free to use this SVG for your own project and I would love to see what you do over at  2 Mama Designs Create Facebook Page!

After staring at it for the last few weeks I decided to do something with it. ( By the way I added that picture for you so you can stare at it too  , you think its pretty don’t you….. I know I did.) I figured you know what that would be awesome to use it as background paper.  So using scraps I added the glitter tape to the scraps and made it look like Glitter Paper and the BONUS OF THIS NOOOOOOO MESS !!!!!!!!!!! Love me some glitter but hubby doesn’t care for the mess that it leaves behind. It makes me smile but him not so much.

Plus it made a beautiful card with added Glitter!!!!!

Scraps Valentines Day Cards

Are you like me and have a tons of scraps of paper laying around and don’t know what to do with them…. Well make shift a card.

You are probably saying this girl Is crazy. But I’ll explain………………….

I have been given these die cuts the Love and the Cupid from a swap, and I wanted to use them. So I played around with some other paper scraps and that incorporated the colors from the large pile of scrap paper and cut it to make a quick simple card. Using some Washi Tape, Ink Splashes, Ribbon, and glue and you can make those die cuts from your swap and make a beautiful Valentines day card for your loved one.

On this one I cute one white scrap to fit the love and the cupid, , then matted that with a red to give the focal point to the word and the Cupid. Then took patterned paper scraps and matted those with red.  The rest is self explainable but this turned out so elegant and nice and to think I just used up my paper scraps!

Come show me on Facebook what you created with your scraps and I promise I’ll want to just give these kind out to all your loved ones!

TIll Next Time!

Valentine’s Day Sweet Stuff Card

Valentine’s Day the holiday we show our loved ones we care…. well with that in mind we did a Periscope Train doing Valentines Day cards.

I thought about this one for alittle bit and wanted to do something totally out of the box then I normally do and decided to add in the Cricut for the Soda Pop bottles. Using an image off of Design Space I cut out three cute little soda bottles and started playing on periscope.

Using Fun Stampers Journey Silk’s I splashed the card like crazy giving it that fun texture, and used some paper stash Washi Tape to make it look like a counter, with some sparkle to add flare.  I stamped the Sweet Stuff off of a MayMay Made it Stamp set, that reminds us that soda is sweet and so is our guest.

Jane Davenport’s water colors were used to show the soda on the bottles, with a heart punch giving a distinction between the three bottles. and with the help from our viewers on the periscope we used Glossy Accents to put on the bottles to make it look like glass bottles.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

Happy New Year my Loves…. and the fun stuff that comes with that…

This year is going to be an exciting one here at 2 Mama Designs. We at 2 Mama Designs has some great ideas and are excited to see it all come together.

With that being said I know we will be seeing more cards and stamping projects, scrapbooking, and of course Vinyl projects in the future. Plus what ever new things we decided to play with crafting wise.

But I wanted to say hi and show that we are still around just going alittle crazy here at 2 MaMa’s  but still going strong. I look forward to seeing you all in the new year and to create with you and for you in the future!

Dollar Tree Gift Idea

Doesn’t everyone need a inexpensive Gift around the holidays. Lets all admit the holidays get crazy and expensive and lets help each other out with these reasonably priced gift that anyone can use. I know I would love to get a gift like this during the holidays to feed my family these yummy cookies that my friend wanted to grace me with.

Let’s start with the items to pick up at Dollar Tree….. A Blank Pot Holder for a $1.00 and a cookie mix for a $1.00 and grab a spatula as well for a $1.00.  ( The Spatuala in the photo is just a prop but I know Dollar Tree and Dollar General have super cute holiday ones) Lastly, use your Heat Transfer Vinyl  of your choice. I used Cricut Silver Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl.

These are super cute and they are very much appreciated. I know I have given some to my neighbors and friends and they are like YAHHHHH. I have a cookie mix to bake up for our get together with Family this weekend, or I can contribute to the cookie bake we are having at work.

Super Quick, Super simple and Super Fun!

Snowman Raglan Shirts and Design Details

Let it Snow, Let it Snow Let It Snow….. or in our house the famous song that goes with Snowman’s is Let it Go, Let it Go!!!!!!!!!

My two beautiful models, ok I’m a little biased on this one but this one is super fun to make and cute.

I’m not going to give an SVG on this one because there really is no need to have one but I will let know how you to make it on your own and not pay for the SVG.

2 Large Circles – for your eyes

5 small circles – for the mouth

1 triangle squished down to be the nose

For the bow, I used a free design on Design Space

These are so fun to make and they are super cute, my times wore their shirts to school and I got orders off that lol.  The nice things about this design is you don’t use a lot of Heat Transfer Vinyl. So you can bust out a bunch of shirts the cheaper side.

Until Next time.
